Perryman’s Buses and sister company Borders Buses are running a town for a £1 and kids go free campaign.
From 03 July to 09 July, both company's will take part in the Catch the Bus campaign, a nationwide initiative organised by Greener Journeys and aimed at raising awareness of the many benefits of using the bus.
During the campaign customers have the opportunity to travel on bus for a purse pleasing £1. Kids will also go free when accompanied by a traveling adult.
The offer is available from 03 July to 09 July, 10am to 2pm only, on the following routes; Perryman’s Buses service H1/H2 (Hawick town) and service B1/B2/B3 (Berwick town) and Borders Buses service 70 (Galashiels to Langlee).
Perryman’s Buses is taking the summer to new heights by introducing an open-top double decker on one of its popular tourist routes.
A newly refurbished open-top tour bus will operate on service 477. The route serves the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, a tidal island off the Northumberland coast.
Famed for its religious heritage, picturesque castle and spectacular views, Holy Island attracts over 650,000 visitors from across the globe.
Service 477 operates from Berwick Railway to the Holy Island most days during the summer months, with a less frequent service between September and May.
The route times are scheduled around the tides with the island being served every one to two hours.
Tickets can be purchased from the driver and cost £4 for an adult single and £8 for an adult return and £2 and £4 for a child ticket.

Our sister company, Borders Buses, is reviewing its route network and ticket range and looking to customers for feedback and suggestions.
Borders Buses is working in partnership with Bus Users Scotland and Scottish Borders Council and hosting a number of Your Bus Matters drop-in sessions across the Borders.
To coincide with the Your Bus Matters drop-in sessions, Borders Buses has launched an online survey, which is asking customers to confirm their travel requirements, rate aspects of the service and provide feedback in ways to improve bus routes, times and ticket types.
The online survey can be completed at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BordersBuses
Once again this year our 477 Timetable will run extra journeys during the English school holidays.
